- 1.5 to 2 pounds of beef short ribs
- 4 to 5 medium-sized carrots, peeled and cut into chunks
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 cup beef broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: sliced green onions for garnish
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
- Season the beef short ribs with salt and pepper.
- Heat a large oven-safe pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add some oil and sear the ribs on all sides until browned. Remove the ribs from the pot and set them aside.
- In the same pot, add the sliced onions and minced garlic. Sauté until the onions are softened and lightly browned.
