Gingerbread Tiramisu Recipe
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 24 gingerbread cookies
- 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee or espresso, cooled
- Cocoa powder, for dusting
- In a mixing bowl, beat the heavy cream and powdered sugar until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
- In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add the vanilla extract, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves, and molasses. Mix until well combined.
- Fold half of the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until incorporated. Then gently fold in the remaining whipped cream.
- Dip each gingerbread cookie into the cooled coffee or espresso, briefly soaking each side, and layer them in the bottom of a serving dish or individual dessert cups.
- Spread a layer of the cream cheese mixture over the gingerbread cookies.
- Repeat the layers of soaked gingerbread cookies and cream cheese mixture, ending with a layer of the cream cheese mixture on top.
- Cover the dish or cups with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to meld and the dessert to set.
- Just before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder.
